This is my fisrt novel I've finished reading in English, it has special meaning for me!
In order to practice English writing, I try to summarize the story of this book in English, as well as I do in Chinese. I guess this will awfully expose my poor English level, I hope somebody kindly point out if there are any mistakes.
Little Charlie lives with his Mom, Dan and their 2 Grandpas and 2 Grandmas. Near the Charlie's house, there is a famous Chocolate factory owned by Mr.Wonka. Charlie walk pass the gate of this factory on the way to and from school every day, and poor Charlie always smell that lovery sweety chocolate smell come from the factory every time he walks by. For poor little Charlie, entering this factory and take a look inside is a big and fantasitc dream.
One day that chance came very suddenly.
Mr.Wonka advertised that he would invite 5 chilidren to go to his factory and look inside one day.
If you find the Golden Ticket wraped inside the Wonka's chandy, you can get this rare oppotunity. Of course Golden Ticket will be only five. Many rich chilidren rashed to stores to buy enormous Wonka's candy.
Charlie's house couldn't afford to buy that many Candies. Even daily supper is insufficient for Charlie's family, to say nothing of candy. Luckily, Charlie's birthday will be coming soon, so his parents bought one Wonka's candy for him, as a hope to get that chance.
Charlie did get that chance? ?
